STUDY ON ACTIVITIES OF “LES GRANDS VOISINS”, A TEMPORARY USE PROJECT OF CLOSED HOSPITAL COLLABORATED WITH DIVERSE ENTITIES, AND ITS INFLUENCES ON REDEVELOPMENT PLAN

A temporary occupation project collaborated with diverse entities, Les Grands Voisins (LGV), has been set up on a former hospital site in Paris, the 14th, pending new construction work redevelopment project. Between 2010 and 2020, LGV served accommodations for vulnerable people provided ateliers, offices shops to creative businesses by re-using abandoned buildings. Furthermore, performance of influenced plan itself, which will preserve most existing LGV’s outcome suggests strategic way reorganization management surplus public facilities build sustainable environment population shrinking society.
